Operating vehicles weighing tens of tonnes is a herculean task. One does not simply go on-the-job training behind the wheel. Starting up the vehicles sometimes involves many more steps than just turning the ignition key.

That's why we are developing this VR training to get new operators to familiarize themselves with these behemoths.

We start with knowing the major components of the vehicles. Then we bring them around the unit to inspect the inner parts crucial for maintenance. In the cabin, they will learn about every button, lever and display. Finally, their acuity is honed through simulations of doing common works.

When all are said and done, the results are tabulated in the back-end dashboard where their supervisors can assess their progress thoroughly.
