Our client, an adventure lifestyle brand, is a loyal sponsor to the event. And they are always looking for the best way to promote their brand through the use of technologies.
To make the activation seamless with the event, we proposed augmented reality experience running on iPads. It's a multiplayer game with spectator view. The idea is 2 players will be playing at the same time while another iPad will act as 'cameraman' to broadcast the experience from a 3rd person view.
The wingsuit game is kept fairly simple for easier uptake to visitors. On an empty 1.5m x 1.5m table, we augmented an urban environment for the game stage. Using joystick to control the direction of the wingsuit, players have to collect as many coins as possible within 2 minutes. They are encouraged to move around the table to get a better vantage point. If players get to certain points, they are entitled to some cool prizes.
The event was attended by more than 500 people from marketing and advertising agencies. The overall reception of this AR experience is very well and we are pleased to see visitors enjoying themselves while still appreciating the brand values.
