In branding, the perception of your company is what determines profit or loss. With car manufacturers, it is even more so.

People don't buy features. People buy the brand of the car.

With brand being an emotion-driven factor derived from customers' view of the company, getting them to see your company in a bright light is paramount.

Car showroom is definitely a must-have for car manufacturers, but when everybody else also has one, more has to be done to get ahead of the competition.

One of our clients asked us: what if my brand value is in R&D? How do I get my customers to appreciate that? With most R&D products are still in early testing or prototype phase, it's often not possible to showcase the products.

This is where VR comes as a great marketing solution.

This experience is not meant to sell the car itself. What this experience is aiming for is to get customers to appreciate the technology and vision that the company has, which is the brand's value. It's about planting the brand's value in customer minds.

In addition, having VR experience to accompany a car showroom/exhibition have other benefits:

  • Saving space. A space for a car can fit 2-4 VR booths.
  • Fewer logistic issues. A VR system can fit in a backpack. Now think again of the time you transported an off-road car.
  • Guided experience without the need of many manpower.
  • Simulate everything you needs from driving through a desert, changing car paints, to disassemble parts to see the inner workings.
